A person commits a sexual battery when he or she acts with the intent to cause a harmful or offensive contact with an intimate part of another, and a sexually offensive contact with that person directly or indirectly results. The law further defines for the purposes of this section intimate part means the sexual organ, anus, groin, or buttocks of any person, or the breast of a female and for purposes of this section offensive contact means contact that offends a reasonable sense of personal dignity.

- Workplace Sexual Assault
Adults both men and women can be victims of sexual assault while at work. Each of us is entitled to work in an environment that is free from unwanted sexual contact. Victims of workplace sexual assault can be injured during the work time or before/ after work when the perpetrator sees that they can take advantage of a situation. Often times, the employer or supervisor is aware of the perpetrator's activities and fails to respond adequately enough to stop or terminate the perpetrator.
Sexual Abuse by Doctors or Medical Professionals
Doctors and Medical Professionals in Orange County and throughout California are special positions of trust involving the care of others. Medical Professionals should not engage in unwanted sexual assault and battery of their patients while in their case. This conduct could lead to a lawsuit if there is sufficient evidence to proceed with a civil case.
